Training Entrepreneurs in Artisans Market (TEAM) is Aid to Artisans’ advanced training initiative for emerging artisan-based enterprises seeking to enter the US retail market for the first time at the Las Vegas Market. TEAM has been developed for those who have completed Aid to Artisans’ signature Market Readiness Program (MRP) in New York or believe they have enough experience to enter the US retail market. Entrepreneur leaders, especially our MRP alumni, have expressed the need for TEAM. This program is our response, an expansive training experience to artisan entrepreneurs for the complexities of the US retail market.

TWO-PART TRAINING

Part 1:  TEAM Boot Camp is a pre-show training via 2 webinars sessions scheduled one month prior to the Las Vegas Market: 2

  • Webinar One: The Fundamentals: Exhibitor Preparation for the US Retail Market
    • Key Topics: Export Readiness, Understanding logistics, Import Regulations, Terms & Conditions, Costing & Pricing Review, Sample selection, Booth Materials
  • Webinar Two: Setting the Groundwork: Getting Ready for a Successful Trade Show
    • Key Topics: Booth display, Buyer expectations, Pricing review, Elements of writing an order, Best business practices, Trade show etiquette

Part 2: TEAM Personal Trainers, industry experts in multiple disciplines, will be onsite throughout the duration of the Las Vegas Market providing individual mentoring, coaching and guidance in industry business practices, booth set-up and display, and negotiating a sale.
