This year’s Aid to Artisans Reception, held during NY NOW, featured a big surprise for attendees. Surrounded by ATA friends, supporters and staff, Aid to Artisans launched Aid to Artisans U, an online platform made specifically for the international artisan community. Designed in conjunction with CreativeU, designers, non-profit founders, exporters and more now have access to short, high quality online courses and resources relevant to artisan-based enterprises. Participants users also have the opportunity to connect and share with others in the sector. This platform is an introduction to our signature Market Readiness Program™.
The process from concept to implementation was a labor of love for Aid to Artisans and Creative Associates International.
“It was a joy to work with the Aid to Artisans team on developing ATAU and the Market Readiness course,” says Mike McCabe, Sr. Associate for Capacity Development at Creative Associates International. “They have a vision for how we empower artisans with anytime, anywhere learning and connection to other artisans and resources through this state-of-the-art platform. The goal now is to build the community using it by getting many more artisans and stakeholders to use it as a resource.”
Between providing additional learning opportunities to international artisans and building bridges within the artisan community, we look forward to what the future holds for the new and very engaging platform.
