Hello Aid to Artisans Friends and Family,
I am excited to announce the promotion of Maud Obe from Director of Programs to Director of Aid to Artisans. Maud joined Creative Learning in October 2012 when we acquired Aid to Artisans (ATA) and has been an invaluable member of our team.
Since joining Aid to Artisans in 2007, Maud has contributed greatly to the success of Aid to Artisans by developing new business opportunities, new partnerships, new projects, and new training initiatives. Most importantly, during the pandemic, Maud and the ATA team have successfully pivoted all our training efforts to the web, enabling us to reach more artisans businesses than we did in person. We will continue these efforts and Maud will be leading the integration of our new Artisan Business Lab into all current and future programs to become the premier training resource for artisan businesses.
Maud has more 14+ years of experience in designing and managing economic empowerment and development projects for the artisan sector in Latin America, Africa, MENA, and Asia. Maud has implemented many programs that have strengthened more than 5000 artisan businesses and linked them to local, regional, and international markets. She has proven success in managing USAID, MCC, The World Bank, Foundations and USG-funded programs.
In her new role, Maud will oversee the daily operations of Aid to Artisans and develop business strategies to grow the division.
Please join me in congratulating Maud on her outstanding contributions to Aid to Artisans, and we’re wishing her success in her new position. She can be reached at maudo@creativelearning.org.
Peace,
Bill Kruvant
