ATA found itself in the spotlight this week in response to Walmart’s recent announcement of plans to launch a dedicated page on Walmart.com that will feature an assortment of products created by women. Earlier this year ATA and its Colombian partner CREATA received funding from the Walmart Foundation to develop income generating opportunities for the Wayuu Artisan Women’s Initiative in Colombia. Some of the products resulting from this partnership may be featured on Walmart’s e-commerce site in the spring. For more information visit: http://walmartstores.com/pressroom/news/10697.aspx
